Performance 31st December 2006

I'm really sorry guys for not updatin sooner, anyway this is the stuff u guys need to know for the performance tomorrow.

The bus leaves at 9.30pm on 31 Dec. Return trip 1am. 1 Jan 2007. (From John)

So please report at 8.30pm at the clubhouse.
- I want to do run through. We dun wanna screw up our first performance do we?

This is the schedule for the night.

• 10.30pm: Arrival at SAFYC, Changi. Check into assigned room.
• 11.00pm: Briefing for the sequence of entrance into main hall.
• 11.30pm: Run through of music pieces (Into Count-down and after Countdown)
• 11.45pm: Stand-by11.50pm: Entry into main hall
• 12.00am: Main performance
• 12.30am: End of performance.

Attire: ALL WHITE

-> Late charge if you do not arrive for run through. Latest 8.45pm whoever early please set up for those who are late, so we dun have to waste time.

-> There would be a late charge if $4 if the bus leaves you behind.

• If your section does not contribute during your allocated week - PACK UP EQUIPMENT FOR 2 WEEKS and to contribute the following week.
• LATE without valid reason - $1.00
• LATE ON PERFORMANCE DAY - $4.00

Malaysia Trip

We wont be able to meet each other this whole week till saturday so i would like to tell you guys more about this trip.

OK after meeting John just now to discuss about the trip, we have reached the confirmation that we will not be able to bring Kooch, Xiao Hui & Fillet for the trip even if we have sponsors. Its part of the school rules that they will not allow non Np students for any of the school trips because they cannot take the responsibility. Dont worry John understands our situation, hes helping us wherever he can but cant do much about this situation.

Now the question is, should we go without them?

I thought hard about it and i have come to a decision - The rest of us 11 should go for the trip. I know some of you will object to it and stuff but i see the advantages of this trip.

1. Like all Shows we performed at, every gig is another opportunity to perform again. Perform for gigs to get gigs remember?
2. In terms of Baracuda we have nothin to lose but all the more to gain through this exposure.
3. We have to repay our seniors for working hard and not getting to go to the malaysia trip that they wanted.
4. There might never be this chance again especially to go with the yr 3s around, we already din go to Perth.
5. Finally, We are already workin our way to PLAN B. Consider this a Bonus.

I know it seems bad for the '3' so i apologise to Xiao Hui, Fillet and Kooch. Not easy for me too to tell you guys this bad news. But for the rest think about it, why the T shirts, why the Name Cards, why the email, why the website? This is the part where we are going to sell ourselves. WA has already taken Orchard, We will take over Malaysia, get shows over there, be well known both in Singapore and Malaysia. And when we come home we will bring back the glory with us to share with you three. Definitely we wont forget you guys, This little sacrifice might help us in the long run i hope you guys understand.

This is the only reason why we wont go for this trip:

1. Not Allowed to have sponsors
2. No Sponsors
3. Any of the 11 wont be able to make it (Bad enough we have to let go three, i am not going to leave another)

To Kooch, Please rephrase wad you said cause you werent there for the important meeting. Yeah i noe you are in China. Maybe you have not seen that without NP, Baracuda will not be here right now, and like i said Baracuda will never be a phase in the life of the school. As we build ourselves outside and get our own instruments we will still work with NP - who is getting our instruments for us in January; and we will not leave our brothers and sisters who are still in NP. They will continue Baracuda no matter wad, and by the time Hazmi leaves NP, HOpefully A new Baracuda Building would have been built. And instead of having one world we will get the best of both worlds, NP and our freedom.

DECEMBER UPDATE!!!!

Guys i din expect to update so soon, but like how baracuda is everything comes when we least expect it. I almost thought its gonna be a quiet relaxing month......

So here it goes, some good news.

• The T shirts and Name cards and the email add have been approved. Left only to finalise the supplier. Yay!!!!
• The Camp has been confirmed. So 22nd to the 24th, PLEASE PLEASE keep yourself free. I will talk to the percussion ensemble and we will come up with an agreement, on the schedules. DOnt worry, Sleeping time is 5am, if cannot sleep, band prac!!!!!!!!

And some bad news.....

I got the reply from john abt the Malaysia Trip, I apologise to Xiao Hui, Fillet and Kooch, The organiser doesnt allow non NP Students. Jalal has said its either we replace or we dont go.

DOnt worry about it ok, Fauzi got PLAN B for all of us and you guys.

So the rest of us, should we continue?

I will talk to these 3 and we will come up with a decision. If that is alright with you guys.

OK so november has been a FREAKIN CRAZY month, so its December now, so its a whole new schedule; WHich Is A Good THing!!!!!

BARACUDA CAMP - 22nd Dec to 24th Dec 06
Again? yeah duh, its time for a new repertoire, everyone to contribute some ideas or some grooves, step up remember? (Not the movie dam it!) Cause i dont think any of us wanna play this years repertoire for the new year. Its time for a change.

We will be having practice with the percussion ensemble, so we will split the time.

Obviously, movie marathon!

And finally, on the 22nd lets all go for Norains Concert after afternoon practice. $12, please get back to me ok?

PRACTICES!!!!

There will not be any practices on the 6th and the 13th of December 06, Practices will only resume on the 20th. This is so that you guys in NP can use this time to study, BUT if you wish to practice on these dates or wanna use the bandroom, please call our dear Hazmi to open the door for you guys. =)
