Hey all, few things I wanna tell you guys, especially the year 1s, soon to be year 2s.
As you know, many of your seniors would probably not be around much if not at all after this Open House, due to many reasons such as school matters. On behalf of the current year 2s, I'd wish you guys well in everything you do and continue to have fun, play music and keep your BB family ties close.
I have every confidence in Sanjay the boss-man's ability to lead Baracuda and bring you to greater heights. Please do support him and Syah in every way you can and care and love for all your fellow members. Committee people, if you encounter any difficulties with band matters or in general, please don't hesitate to seek help and support from your fellows, the year 2s and from Faith. Don't know about the others, but I'll definitely come down once in a while to see how you guys are doing or whenever you need me, I'm just a call away (: This is just the beginning for you guys and there are many things waiting ahead for you. Whether good or bad, let's do it all together alright?
Also, don't forget the things that Faiz asked y'all to do: research all about batucada, samba, and all other genre of music possible; don't limit yourselves to what you are already playing now, dare to try new things and expand your musical knowledge. As a start, I want the barang-barang section to know all the parts to the songs of all the instruments in your section, and if possible, the surdo parts as well. For the surdo section, know all the parts to high-mid-low tones of EVERY song, and start learning all the barang-barang parts as well. Snare section, learn all the surdo parts, and some barang-barang parts to the songs.
So, that's all for now. You guys work hard, drink lots of water, take care of yourselves and each other, and keep the passion burning. See you all!
